In conjunction with the celebration of the exact day when Rothenburg´s Imperial Privileges as a Reichsstadt were confirmed 750 years ago, the city will welcome the Bandieri degli Uffizi performers from Florence. Dressed in their medieval, traditional, highly colorful garb, these costumed flag throwers will coney the greetings ot that once mighty city state republic to equally ancient Rothenburg, it will be a spectacle right out of the Middle Ages
At 6 p.m. the fanfares of the fife and drums corps will announce the historical festival play "Der Meistertrunk" Lord Mayor Dr Naser will give welcoming remarks with the opening music to the theatrical performance written by Karl Wüst.
At 6.30 p.m. scene from the Meistertrunk play will be shown in stage director Reiyk Bergemann´s production. Festival with music, food and drinks on the Grüner Markt from 7 p.m. onwards
